Lessons & Students
Every student learns differently.
Lessons are personalised to age, experience and musical goals — but they all share one aim: helping students become confident, independent musicians.
Who I Teach
Children
Adults
Building strong musical foundations through curiosity, confidence and understanding from the very beginning.
Whether you're returning after years away or starting from scratch, lessons move at your pace without judgment.
How I Plan Your Lessons
Every lesson is designed around long-term growth, not just finishing the next piece.
01
Discovery
We start by identifying your strengths, goals and the way you naturally learn — not just your current grade or repertoire.
02
Personalised Roadmap
Based on what we discover, I build a learning plan tailored to your goals — whether that's exam success, creative confidence, or simply enjoying the piano again.
03
Term-by-Term Growth
Technique, listening, theory and creativity are woven together so progress compounds, rather than starting from scratch each week.
04
Review & Performance
At regular intervals, we review what's improved and what comes next — so you and your family always know where things stand and why.
Student Stories
13-year-old intermediate student
After several years of feeling stuck at the same level, we stepped back instead of pushing harder repertoire — exploring simpler pieces across different styles until she found music she genuinely enjoyed.
That renewed motivation, paired with focused technique work, carried her confidently into Grade 6 repertoire.
Adult self-taught pianist
Learning through YouTube and apps had left the playing technically correct but emotionally flat. Rather than starting with the score, we explored the story behind Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata — its history, harmony and sonata form — and understanding the ideas behind the piece transformed both confidence and musical expression.
6-year-old beginner
In the first lessons, I noticed a natural ability to sing back melodies.
So we built early lessons around listening and echo-playing before introducing notation, letting confidence and musical understanding grow together from the very start.
